Lower Back Pain

Lower Back Pain

Excessive pronation (rolling in of the feet) has been shown to be linked with lower back pain. When the feet roll inwards, this causes the legs to rotate internally and the pelvis tilts forward causing an increase in the curvature of the lower back. This results in increased stress and forces on ligaments, cartilage and nerves in the lower back.

A potential leg length difference which your podiatrist will assess for could also be contributing to your lower back pain.
